Port quays/piers, maritime terminals excluding intermodal terminals, port basins/fairways/turning basins, internal road/rail networks, ship waste/sewage reception and environmental/zero-emission/decarbonisation measures; land-side road/rail access improvements. The generic criteria also discuss sea-side access, but the exact regulation lists port infrastructure and land access, not every generic5.2 type.

Unlike no-aid roads/SAR rounds, port support is state aid under GBER56b. Aid cannot exceed eligible investment/dredging costs minus operating profit, using reasonable ex-ante projections or clawback. Category/tier ceilings and permitted regional uplift also apply; final award may be lower. Template100% payment-source split is not100% aid intensity.

The adopted manual requires fixed templates, subordinate additional logos, no contractor marks in the main logo line, visible durable boards, and at least two boards for linear projects. A project begun before award must place its board within two months of agreement/decision; posters within one month of award. Create a social profile if absent and publish the required project/financing information. Maintain ordinary web/social information through implementation and a project-funded website through durability; apply the public-safety exception for poster location.
