Part 1 supports educational initiatives raising ecological awareness and implementing environmental, climate and energy policy. Programme examples include active education, information/education campaigns, targeted public or specialist education, media production, conferences, training/workshops, postgraduate studies, educational aids, contests/events, and facilities/centres for environmental education.

Before each intake the Board approves specific topic/project types and reach. This list is programme-wide, not a confirmation of the 2026 call focus.

Programme-level categories require nationwide reach (participants from 16 voivodeships) or, for specified project types, supraregional reach (at least 3 voivodeships), unless the call sets detailed exceptions. Minimum requested NFOŚiGW support is PLN 100,000, except conferences and press publications.

For projects of qualifying NGOs, documented unpaid volunteer services may count as non-cash eligible contribution up to 10% of project eligible costs, valued using recorded hours and market hourly/daily rates; this contribution is not reimbursed and reduces the project-management limit.

Transfer-of-funds intensity may reach 100%.

Guidelines apply with programme exceptions, including restricted preparation costs and exclusions for land acquisition and rent for education-centre construction projects.
